The Rough Diamonds Show and Sale was held on 24th January 2015 at Junction 36 auction. The show before the sale showcased the excellent sheep, a credit to their breeders. The sheep attracted a lot of interest, with buyers travelling from Wales and Northern Ireland.
The Champion sheep was from the Knowles family at High Borrow Bridge, Selside. She sold for 600 pounds. The highest price of the day went to a ewe from Birkhaw with Mr Capstick and Sarah Hoggarth selling her in the ring for 620 pounds.
A cheque was presented to Rosemere Cancer Foundation, the photo below shows the Rough Fell Champion with judge Mr William Dawson, RSFBA Secretary Ben Williams, Representative from Rosemere Cancer Foundation Sandi Hawthorne, RFSBA president Mr Brian Clarke and RFSBA Chairman and breeder of the champion sheep, Mr Brian Knowles.
