Do join the conversation about Rough Fell Sheep on Twitter @Roughfellsheep . Every night the account retweets photos of sheep sent in during the day from our breeders. Its a great way to generate interest in the breed and we have had new customers at auction this year who have seen the breed on Twitter. All you need is a camera phone to join in. To date we have 1,192 loyal followers who love seeing your photos. A lot of the photos are then shared by other accounts, such as nwauctions, the NSA or NFU, so the images get seen by a large audience.
If you would like help setting up a Twitter account send a message via our contact form, and someone will be in touch to set up your account with you. Its very easy to use, and a lot of fun looking at everyone else's photos and comments. Our stand was present at Welsh Sheep and North Sheep. Brian and Kieran Milburn took the stand to Welsh Sheep and had a very busy day there. There was a lot of interest in the Tups and the Rough Fell Mules. Congratulations to F Abbeney, Powys, on winning the weight of the ram competition. He weighed 118kg.
There was again a lot of interest at North Sheep, and our stand won second place in the sheep breeds stands competition. Well done everyone. |
